Established in 2001, the Chair in Religion, spirituality and health is unique in Canada. Part of the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at Laval University, it runs projects of interdisciplinary research with its numerous partners of the healthcare system, religious groups and university circles. Until 2012, the Chair benefits in particular of one subsidy from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada for the project Circulation of spiritualities in healthcare secular institutions.
Since 2008, the Chair offers the Raymond-Lemieux scholarship to doctoral projects pursued in its field of interests, a way of underlining the work of pioneer of his first holder (2002-2007) on this question. The Chair in Religion, Spirituality and Health gives its support to many research projects, publications, and the training of futures researchers and practitioners. It also maintains the dialogue with a vast public by means of public conferences on different topics related to its field of expertise.
I thus invite you to visit the site and learn more about our projects and activities.
